Austin Winnett
I’ve been playing guitar for five years and have never taken guitar lessons. I really prefer doing original music instead of cover songs. I’ve been writing my own music (if that’s what you call it) for seven years. I’ve been in many bands but the most notable are Paint the Sky and The Midnight Light. I’ve performed at coffee houses, parks, and churches. I have been in my church’s worship band for four years and continue to help out with music at our church. Believe it or not, I don’t usually listen to country music. My main influences for music are Nickel Creek, Copeland, Sondre Lerche, and Dustin Kensrue. I play the guitar in this band and also help Devin with songwriting.
Drew Staudenmaier
I play the bass guitar. I grew up listening to country music and I have a special spot in my heart for bluegrass. I started playing bass when I was about fourteen years old and I’ve never had any real formal lessons. Some of my favorite artists are Josh Turner, Keith Urban, The New Frontiers, and Dustin Kensrue. My playing style leans more towards a folkrock/ bluegrass/indie-rock kind of feel. When I’m not making music I enjoy messing with guitars, bike riding, and hanging out with my friends.
David Wagner
I play drums in this band and have been playing for five years. Not only do I play drums
but I’m also a big fan of playing piano, guitar and bass. I don’t really listen to much country, but it’s still good stuff. I, like Austin, Devin and Drew, play in my church’s worship band. My influences for music would probably be Johnny Cash, David Crowder, and
probably everyone else’s influences in the band.
